The REAL ESTATE ACQUISITION GROUP specializes in publicly funded involuntary condemnation and voluntary “willing seller” land acquisition projects that require real estate negotiations, relocation, environmental and property management services.  Projects often include the acquisition and relocation of residential, commercial and industrial properties, demanding a high level of expertise in federal and state acquisition and relocation policies and procedures.  Relocation Advisory Services require sensitivity to displaced owners and tenants.  In this arena, The Urban Group, Inc., has worked for various federal, state, and city governments and agencies, including the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Broward County Aviation Department, St. Lucie County, Collier County, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, City of Fort Lauderdale, City of Boynton Beach, City of Lake Worth, and the U.S. Department of HUD.

The COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT URBAN INTEREST GROUP promotes the development of governmentally funded housing, and provides consulting services related to all aspects of community revitalization.  This Interest Group is responsible for development of new construction and redevelopment projects for its clients, as well as providing grant administration, site selection, and community planning.  For non-profit sponsors,  TUG has helped to build over 2,000 housing units in the State of Florida under governmentally funded housing programs. The firm has performed monitoring and compliance services to ensure quality control for the Florida Housing Finance Authority.  Community Redevelopment Agency projects include:  City of Fort Lauderdale, City of Lake Worth, City of Boynton Beach, City of Riviera Beach, Lee County, and Broward County. Housing development projects were completed for the Archdiocese of Miami, Diocese of Palm Beach, Broward County Area Agency on Aging, Hialeah Housing Authority, and Broward County Housing Authority.

The PROPERTY ASSET MANAGEMENT, DISPOSITION, AND SALES GROUP administers preservation and protection, property management and property disposal services for public agencies. Prior projects include: Real Estate Asset Management Services to the United States Marshals Service in the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, Real Estate Asset Management (REAM) contracts for U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); Program and Property Management services in condemnation projects at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, St. Lucie County Airport, and for the Florida Department of Transportation. TUG served as the exclusive sales agent for the United States Marshals Service and was responsible for over $32 million in sales of forfeited properties.
 

The MAINTENANCE GROUP specializes in providing property maintenance, inspection and protection services for forfeited, foreclosed and condemned real estate assets.  This Group has had contracts for property maintenance services for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the U.S. Department of HUD, Broward County Florida, and the United States Marshals Service.  The Group conducts eviction management services, property clean-outs, and emergency board-up and repair services.  With TUG’s fleet of maintenance vehicles and statewide network of vendors, we have the ability to handle any management or maintenance issue quickly and efficiently.
