Howard Steinholz, Principal and Contract Manager
Mr. Steinholz is the founder and President of The Urban Group, Inc. He works as the firm’s business director providing strict quality assurance and quality control over client agreements. He is active in all categories of services implemented by the firm. Collectively, The Urban Group is a real estate acquisition and asset management consultancy offering a platform of real property related support services to public sector agencies, non-profit corporations, and private entities using governmental funding. The firm’s business platform focus is on Transportation; Housing and Community Redevelopment Facilities Management, and Appraisal activities. Since the company’s startup in1984, under his direction, The Urban Group has acquired hundreds of miles of right-of-way to build and/or widen roads for the transportation related activities; acquired hundreds of acres of property to build public facilities, parks and open spaces; facilitated the relocation of thousands of displaced residents and business in compliance with the Federal Uniform Act; and aided in the construction of over 3,000 public and publicly subsidized housing units.
Mr. Steinholz is a Florida licensed real estate broker and a member of the Florida Board of Realtors® that combined his education as an Urban Planner to develop solutions for public sector property acquisition projects. A short list of clients he signed Professional Services Agreements with include: the Florida Department of Transportation, South Florida Regional Transportation Authority, U.S. Department of HUD, U.S Marshals Service, City of Fort Lauderdale, Broward County Aviation Department, City of West Palm Beach, Florida Department of Environmental Protection Agency, City of Pompano Beach, City of Lake Worth, City of Sarasota, City of St. Petersburg, City of West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Agency, Archdiocese of Miami, Urban League of Greater Miami, and Broward County Habitat for Humanity.
